Dog Licenses
NOTE: Dog licenses expire on December 31st each year and must be renewed on an annual basis by January 31st. Licensing for 2026 began on October 15th.
Per State Law, all dogs in the State of Maine must be licensed at 6 months of age or within 10 days of ownership.
In general, rabies vaccines are good for 3 years, call or email to see if you need to send updated rabies certificates.
- $6 for a spayed/neutered dog
- $11 for an unspayed/unneutered dog
- $25 late fee per dog (for renewals submitted after January 31st) ·
