Parking Stickers:

Parking stickers are available during regular town hall business hours and can only be issued for registered vehicles.

1. Per Municipal Parking Area Ordinance, in order to park in the Long Island Municipal Parking Lot, located at Marriner’s Landing, all forms of motorized vehicles are required to have a valid Parking Permit Sticker.

2. Parking Permits have been required since June of 2006 and Ordinance is published every year in the Long Island Annual Town Report that is mailed out and posted on the Town’s website.

3. Per Ordinance, the valid Parking Permit Sticker must be placed in the drivers side lower corner of the windshield – please remove any other expired Parking Permit Stickers you may have in that area.

4. If you’re having a motorized vehicle delivered to the Island and you are not here, please make arrangements to have it brought to your property until a Parking Permit Sticker can be acquired.

5. Folks that rent their property, please let your renters know that if they choose to bring their own vehicle to the Island while renting and there’s a chance they’ll be going to the mainland at all and therefore would be parking in the Municipal Parking Lot, that they need to purchase & display a Parking Permit Pass – $20/month – $75/year – need to show current valid registration.

6. Lots of folks have their valid Parking Permit Sticker and neglect to put it on the windshield – must be affixed to windshield promptly (in the required area) – please put them on promptly.

7. Please folks keep in mind – no Parking Permit Sticker displayed – no valid Parking Permit Sticker displayed – Parking Permit Sticker is not in the required location on windshield, then a violation ticket and fine of $20/ticket could be given. (depending on what day the Constable patrols the Municipal Parking Lot)
