The Selectmen meet at Town Hall at 5pm on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. The committee conducts the following routine business: signing warrants/checks, making phone calls, responding to correspondence, meeting with department heads, meeting with residents regarding concerns, discussing items to be placed on agenda for next Selectmen’s meeting, setting meeting dates (this does not require a vote), and occasionally voting on appointments to boards and committees should slots need to be filled immediately.
All discussion and decision-making among the municipal officers must be done at a legal meeting. Other than personnel matters or executive sessions, these meetings are open to the public.
