Transfer Station Fees<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0– Effective July 1, 2024<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dog Licenses:<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Dog licenses expire and are due on January 1st\u00a0<\/span>
\n Neutered\/spayed fee\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $6.00<\/strong><\/span>
\n Non-neutered\/non-spayed\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $11.00<\/strong><\/span>
\n Late Fee as of February 1st\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $25.00 plus license fee<\/strong><\/span>
\n Proof of Rabies Vaccine required<\/span>
\n First time licensing must be done in person at Town Hall<\/span>
\n Re-licensing by mail requires:<\/span>
\n 1) Fee:\u00a0 Checks made payable to \u201cTown of Long Island\u201d<\/span>
\n 2) Proof of rabies vaccine<\/span>
\n 3) Self-addressed stamped envelope<\/span><\/p>\n

Dog licenses expire on December 31st each year and must be renewed on an annual basis by January 31st. Licensing\u00a0for 2026 began on October 15th.<\/div>\n

Per State Law, all dogs in the State of Maine must be licensed at 6 months of age or within 10 days of ownership.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0 In general, rabies vaccines are good for 3 years, call or email to see if you need to send updated rabies certificates.<\/div>\n
