As part of the Town of Long Island\u2019s Comprehensive Plan process, the committee is hosting a series of public forums to continue gathering citizen input on specific topics coming out of the survey.<\/p>\n

The first forum will focus on Housing. The purpose is to further explore available housing based on themes from the survey. This topic is complex and touches on many other aspects of our town.<\/p>\n

If you have not yet completed the Long Island Comprehensive Plan Survey please do! It takes only 10-15 minutes and we want to hear from you!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Common themes in the survey feedback point to the need for more housing for working families; additional families needed to help sustain our school, to add to the town volunteer pool (Fire and Rescue as an example), and to attract more trade professionals.<\/p>\n

To start the forum and give interested attendees something to think about in advance, the meeting will start with a simple question.<\/p>\n
