A summary panel explains that a dangerous heat wave will continue through at least Friday, with air temperatures in the 90s and high humidity creating heat index values of 100\u2013105\u00b0F or higher. The advisory states that heat index values of 105\u2013110\u00b0F are likely, overnight temperatures in the 70s will increase heat stress, and multiple rounds of showers and strong-to- severe thunderstorms are possible each afternoon and evening through Friday. Hazards include an increased risk of heat-related illness, damaging winds, and possible power outages. The facility has a generator, bedding and a Wellness Center with an exam room and a telehealth room, medical appliances such as crutches and walkers, and two handicapped accessible bathrooms.
