An interesting program, maybe it's something that YRHC  could try to promote 
on the island (not replicate, but inform the public about  it as some people 
might want to join in case they sell their cottage in the  future).

Here is an interesting program that I recently  learned about and wanted to 
pass along:

Basically, it provides a significant discount  for HUD homes to folks in law 
enforcement, fire services, EMS, and  teachers provided they agree to make 
these homes their primary residence  for 3 years. 
Something that may be of interest and help  someone get into home ownership.  
The above web site has a lot more information,  including the ability to 
search for available property by state.
