Hello All,
Where many here at the office were subjected to numerous island stories and had to endure listening to me prattle on about the program, I put together a summary type document to illustrate outcome to date and also include what I considered to be interesting facts. While the document was primarily intended for show and tell for coworkers  who either had a hand in the process or were otherwise interested, it occurred to me that you all might also be interested as well. I know that along the way a number of you have been curious about what the other islands were doing and what approach they took.
Though not entirely complete, with one island poised to begin construction soon, it seemed a good time to take a breath and look at what’s been accomplished as the result of this program and of course your efforts to make it all happen.
 
In any event, hope you enjoy the info. I realize you’re well aware of the geographic info and intimate with the fun facts at the end but thought you’d enjoy the pictures and other tidbits.
It has indeed been a fascinating experience and I deeply appreciate the extraordinary effort, cooperation and above all, the courtesies that were extended to me along the way.  I was afforded a sense of professionalism and appreciation from each island team that seemed completely unaltered by the occasion requirement or inconvenience that can often be associated with bureaucratic process. For that as well as for your friendship, I am truly grateful.
Also a special thanks to Liza. What a gem!
Now I’ll look forward to visiting just for fun… along with my wife who was quite jealous of this fortunate addition to my job description.
 
Two notes..Hope I haven’t grossly misrepresented any of the Island facts offered in the document. If so, please don’t hesitate to set me straight.
Lastly, I’ve limited the list of sendees to one or two per Island purely for efficiency sake. I’ll greatly appreciate it if you could forward to fellow committee members or other interested folks who may have had a hand in the process at some point.
