List of Potential Long Island Candidates for Year Round Rental Opportunities:
 
The following list is one constructed at a recent YRHCorp Meeting to try to gauge how much interest there might be in permanent rental situations on Long Island.  Some are already in rentals on Long Island, but not necessarily guaranteed long term (privately owned) or are in houses that may be for sale.
Others are Long Islanders who are living off island but might live on island if suitable and affordable rental situations were available.  Others commute to Long Island to work and, although we do not know what people might want, might live here if housing were available and suitable.

I am asking (as we agreed at the last YRHCorp Meeting) that you contact the folks on this list that you know and have contact with and see if they have any future interest and if so, would they fill out a “Notice of Interest” for our files and planning purposes.  This obviously has no obligation attached.
 
As you contact these folks (and any others you may think of), maybe shoot me an e-mail so I can check off the list and we can figure at our next meeting how to catch up with those that have been missed.  ( Let me know if you can think of a better way to do this!)
 
I have attached the “Notice of Intent” form (so you can forward to others) and opened it below in case you cannot open it.   This form should be mailed or e-mailed back to me so we have a real record.  Verbal “I’m interested” is not sufficient.

Notice of interest in future Rental Housing
 
We are in the initial process of a grant application to build two rental homes that would be available for long term stable rental (with a potential of ownership if interested).  Maximum monthly rent for an energy efficient new home would be a maximum of $850/month but could be lower depending on many loan and construction variables as yet unknown.   Your name is on a list of current or past Long Island residents who either rent here now or might reside here again if suitable housing were available.
While there appears to be sufficient demand initially to utilize these homes, the YRHCorp. needs to gauge as best as possible the future interest should vacancies occur.   We understand that it is difficult for most folks to anticipate such needs with an unknown time factor, but if your housing needs might include staying on or retuning to Long Island based on such availability,  we hope you will register with us at this time. 
 
            I(We) the undersigned wish to make known our interest in future rental housing as may become available through the Year Round Housing Corp.
            This “Notice of Interest” registration in no way obligates me (us) to any contract at this time,  but merely allows the Year Round Housing Corp. to be  aware of my (our) potential interest in this housing program.
