In order to control the deer and turkey population on Long Island the town allows hunting in selected areas with a town-issued permit. Information on obtaining a hunting permit is available at Town Hall. Permit applications are available HERE and at Town Hall.
The Selectboard is advised by the town’s Deer Reduction Committee regarding hunting seasons. Here are the proposed and approved 2022-2023 hunting season.
