Hi All, Attached and opened please find the minutes from the
last meeting. Thank you to Alden for taking them and all the quiet support
work he does. For next meeting, we agreed
to bring in "conditions or suggestions" as to what would make a desirable house
from the perspective of the next potential owners after the first folks
build it. In other words, what would you want to see in a house if you
were going to consider buying it (example - minimum number of
bedrooms).

Contrary to what I said at the meeting, maybe it would be a good idea to
think about these now and send them to me and I will compile a draft working
list so we have it ready to discuss at the next meeting. In
addition, we will try another tackle of possible lease conditions.

Reminder, meetings are now the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at
the Learning Center at 7PM with the next meeting on Wed., June 13.

previous meeting approved unanimously.

The committee shared thoughts on
the events at town meeting, generally agreeing that it was a great
success. Mark Greene said that unfortunately one of the parcels selected
for lease (#344 at the corner of Beach Ave. and Fern Ave.) was not available
after all, as it was donated to the town with conditions that it be used for
school purposes.

Mark Greene also shared a letter he had drafted to send
to abutters of properties the YRHC hoped to use. It invited abutters to
share concerns and ideas for the project(s), and might lead to better
configuration of some lots.

The committee discussed the
application/selection committee, which the selectmen will appoint over the
summer. Applications for the committee will be due to the selectmen July
1st. The A/S committee will first work on finalizing the selection
criteria, and then will consider applications for housing projects. Alden
Robinson will be available to support the committee's work.

John Billings
and Mary Nanos shared plans and brochures for modular houses that they picked up
on a trip to the mainland. Options for many of these houses can be
selected "a la carte", and can even include appliances. Heating systems
can also be pre-installed or left to the buyer.

The committee agreed to
meet bi-weekly, on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. For the
next meeting, the committee agreed to think about sample parameters for
buildings constructed on YRHC lots. Next meeting is June 13th at 7 p.m. at
