<DIV>Hi Chris, I am glad you are thinking about these things. The
solutions, I believe, lie in us crafting flexible conditions in the
agreements that keep in mind what our primary goals and reasons are
for having embarked on this project:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>1. Assisting Long Islanders, (for the health and well being of the
entire community), who want to live here permanently, to
enter the nearly impossible housing market that has developed here. </DIV>
<DIV>2. To assist these same individuals to obtain housing at the
most reasonable costs possible (in spite of even small lots now selling for
upwards of $100,000!), yet be as fair as possible to all the taxpayers.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>It would seem reasonable that we would craft agreements that will
<U>not</U> cause our YRHC candidates to run into the scenarios that you have
brought to our attention. That is the goal of the brainstorming I am
asking all to be doing for the next and subsequent meetings. Bring
reasonable solutions and conditions for the agreements that we
need to make up concerning the lease, the house to be built, the buyback, the
selection process, and the process of deciding which land goes to
whom. Those are the committee members assignments as noted in
the minutes of the last meeting. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Keep your thinking cap on. Thanks,
Mark</DIV></FONT><BR><BR><BR><DIV><FONT style="color: black; font: normal 10pt ARIAL, SAN-SERIF;"><HR style="MARGIN-TOP: 10px">See what's free at <A title="http://www.aol.com?ncid=AOLAOF00020000000503" href="http://www.aol.com?ncid=AOLAOF00020000000503" target="_blank">AOL.com</A>. </FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
