General Information -Licenses, Registrations,Taxes and Town Fees

Town Fee Schedule (Effective July 1, 2009) 
 
DOG LICENSES
 
Dog Licenses expire and are due on January 1st.
Fee:      $11 - non-neutered/non-spayed
            $6 - Neutered/spayed 
        Late fee $15 as of Feb. 1, 2010 
 
Proof of rabies vaccination can be faxed to:  766-5400
If re-licensing by mail, please provide the following:
Fee - checks made payable to the Town of Long Island
Proof of rabies vaccination
Self addressed stamped envelope
 
BOAT RE-REGISTRATIONS
 
Boat Registrations expire on December 31st.
 
If re-registering by mail, please provide the following:
Fee - please check with Tax Collector to confirm
Self addressed stamped envelope
 
MOORING RE-REGISTRATIONS
 
Mooring Registrations expire on December 31st.
 
Fees $30 for residents/taxpayers, $60 for non-residents .
 
If re-registering by mail, please provide the following:
Fee - make check payable to Town of Long Island
Self addressed stamped envelope -  to receive sticker
 
For new registration contact Town Hall. 
 
 
VEHICLE OR GOLF CART RE-REGISTRATIONS
 
If re-registering by mail, please provide the following:
Proof of insurance (effective date on card must already be in effect when registering)
Fee - please check with Tax Collector to confirm
Self addressed stamped envelope
 
LIQUOR LICENSES

Per the State Bureau of Liquor Licensing the following licenses need to be
obtained:
  • BYOB Function:  Town of Long Island License required - Fee $20.00/day - Two Selectmen signatures required.
  • Liquor Provided by Host at no charge (Tip jar is prohibited - per State): Town of Long Island License required - Fee $20.00/day - Two Selectmen signatures required.
  • Liquor Provided by Host with a cash bar (tip jar allowed): Cash bar is only permitted by a licensed caterer hired by the host. State License required - Fee $10.00/day - Two Selectmen signatures required. Town of Long Island License required - Fee $20.00/day - Two Selectmen signatures required.
 
Reminder:  Though the applications require a 72 hour notice - please allow
at least a week to submit and allow licenses to be processed.  The approved
licenses must be posted during the time of the function.
