The Town of Long Island is accepting resumes for the part-time position of Office Assistant/Deputy. This is an hourly position and extra paid hours may include workshops, training sessions scheduled by the State, and fill in for Town Clerk, Treasurer and Tax Collector for vacation and sick days. Also must be willing to work towards the Deputy position. Starting pay $10/hour up to $12/hour after six month review.
Hours: Tuesdays: 8:30-12:30 (8:00-4:00 when required)
Thursdays: 3:30-7:30
Saturdays: 9:00-11:30 (June Only)

The Town of Long Island is accepting letters of interest for the part-time position of a cleaning person for Town Hall.
Cleaning would consist of but not limited to:

The Board of Selectmen are requesting proposals for housing located on Long Island, Maine to accommodate workers of the FEMA Logging Project for approximately 10 weeks to commence after Labor Day 2010.
Description of need:
Three (3) bedroom house with heat to accommodate up to three (3) workers.
House should provide safe living environment to consist of smoke detectors, proper emergency egress and fire extinguisher.
